slide4The Volunteer Center of Pinal takes every opportunity to recognize the good works of the volunteers. Our "Volunteer of the Month" citations and photos are publicized regularly in local media and always on our website. A certificate will be sent to the recipient and the nominating organization may choose to send an article to their local media.

We also host an annual Volunteer Appreciation event to pay tribute to all those who are helping us advance our mission of creating an environment in which community members will thrive. Partner organizations may nominate volunteers for any or all three of the awards.

Heart of Pinal Award

A prestigious award specially commissioned by a local artisan. This award will be presented to the individual volunteer in Pinal County who best exemplifies the volunteer spirit of giving, sharing, and making a difference for others.  An independent panel of judges, made up of community leaders, will determine the winner.  Length of service, above and beyond activities, benefits from services performed; personal dedication and commitment will play an important role. One Heart of Pinal award winner will be chosen for Pinal County from the Above and Beyond nominees. A volunteer may receive the Above and Beyond award from the nominating organization and the Heart of Pinal Award from the Volunteer Center of Pinal County for their exemplary volunteer contribution to Pinal County.
