Established April 8th 1995 and serving for over 16 years, we have provided through annual fire protection subscriptions, a 24 hour fire and rescue service for residents and businesses located in the unincorporated areas of the County where no government funded or organized fire protection exists.
Volunteer Types Needed: Clerical Office, Construction, Emergency Assistance, Management
We have needs for clerical assistance, filing, organizational skills, book keeping and experience with use of a computer for data entry.
We are installing a modular office and require assistance with remodeling work in all areas, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and drywall or finishing.
We plan to expand into this office with the implementation of Reception/Dispatch personnel to assist with Emergency Radio Communications and Dispatching from our Office at McCartney & Overfield. There is no estimated date when this will be required, as it is dependent upon completion of our Office installation and remodel. **Disabled American Veterans who are receiving 80% to 100% service disability compensation, regardless of handicap, who are able to communicate by Telephone, Base Station Radio and can operate a Computer without special access needs to those items, are encouraged to consider this position. The office will be handicap accessible within ADA compliance requirements being afforded.
