Organization Mission Statement: To develop resources to provide emergency food boxes to feed the hungry and minister to other needs of our fellow citizens in the Apache Junction and East Mesa area using voluntary contributions of food, money, and services from the community.
AJ Food Bank has been in existence since 1983 operates as an all volunteer organization.
The AJ Food Bank is an emergency food bank that provides short term assistance to families in need and who live within our service territory. Qualifications include:
- Live within the boundaries of McDowell Road south to Queen Creek Rd and Ellsworth Rd east to Queen Valley Rd.
- Provide a valid United States picture ID
- Provide proof of residency (utility bill, rent receipt, or other document showing client's name and address), and
- Meet Federal Poverty Guidelines as established by the US Health and Human Services and approved by the AJ Food Bank Board of Directors
- We provide 5+ days of food upon meeting these requirements and signature on the affidavit of declaration. A client and family is only eligible for assistance once every 60 days.
